In this article I am going to cover what pyramid scheme companies look like and how to NEVER depend upon an income from one. You will also learn why your 9-5 job/lifestyle could be a pyramid scheme as well…..so keep reading!

First off….I want to be frank and as blunt as possible, with all due respect.  What I consider to be a pyramid scheme is a 9-5 job.   Yes, there is something to be said about having a steady income, and I applaud you if you are working a 9-5 while growing your own business.  And yes we all have had the typical 9-5 job…… and 90% of us still do.

But if you think about it, these are the real pyramid scheme companies!!

Working for a company for 30-40 years 40 hours + a week, blood, sweat and tears.  The “Boss” works minimal hours, makes 3 to 20 times MORE money per month than you, and all of the trickling difficulties swim down to YOU!

You do your job for 8 or more hours every day, go home, eat, maybe have enough time to do something entertaining with family or friends, go to sleep, and wake up to do the same thing again……Never really getting ahead.  When you retire(if you’re lucky enough) you receive a lot less then you thought you were getting, and you are still not living the lifestyle that you expected and so rightfully deserve. All that time working and planning and waiting for your prize when in the end……NOTHING that you thought it would be. What’s up with that??  I’ll tell you what that is….that’s a load of B.S.

It’s quite possible that with you’re 9-5…you may have no room for advancement, a cap on your income, and there’s a good chance you don’t like  your “boss” and people you work with…..and again, there might be some people reading this who love their job, so no offense.  You might like the fact that you will work under someone elses schedule for the rest of your life, while someone else tells you what time to be there, how long your breaks are, and how much money you are allowed to make….I know I’m not one of them.

I guess I am talking to the person with the entrepreneurial spirit, who has a vision of living a free lifestyle, making their own schedule, has no cap on their income, leverages your time and money, and loves helping others do the same. It makes more sense.

Any type of businesses where YOU, are not allowed to make more than your “boss” if you work just as hard and smart, in my opinion, is highway robbery and pyramid scheme companies with a bad business model….so watch out!

I raise this point not to be pessimistic but because of the fact that our governmental and economic system has failed us.  Our leaders who are supposed to be looking out for worldly economy, have failed us.  Since the early 2000′s, many middle class average Americans and people all around the world in many different countries, have been robbed for their 401k savings and other type of investments after working for several decades.  Small businesses are struggling; the people “on top”(i.e. pyramid scheme), who promise us a safe and growing economy are greedily stashing all the money and leaving us in the muck, wiping the dirt out of our mouth while many struggle just to pay rent and feed their kids.

Of course, I do believe in free enterprise so don’t get me wrong.  I DO believe a business should be able to grow as large as chosen, but without cheating their employees and investors and without becoming pyramid scheme companies.   And I also do believe that every person has their own choices.  If you decide that you’re happy with your J.O.B, then that’s cool too.

In closing….. if you’re reading this post, whether you have a 9-5 J.O.B or not, it would not be smart to NOT be building a supplemental, lifetime, residual income that you can retire on.  If you have been looking for something fair, and do-able for the every-day person;  Something that YOU decide HOW MUCH you make and you keep all the money you work for; Something with an in-demand product and service; Something that you can build towards on the side and turn it into a full-time online RESIDUAL income,(so you can fire your boss), as well as, something that will help you build your primary business with leads and up-front cash-flow,  then click pyramid scheme companies suck.

No more depending on these types of business models to take care of you.  And if you DO NOT want something more than an oppressive system that doesn’t add up to a lifestyle and income that you have a burning desire for,  then don’t click here.  Bye for now.

MLM Lead List

In this post, I’m going to talk about the difference between buying an MLM lead list and generating leads on your own personal blog.  You will discover why I believe generating your own leads is a much more effective way of building an MLM business, and why buying leads could quite possibly be a waste of your time.

So why would someone put in all the effort or pay hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars, to build a lead generating blog or website, when they can easily get online and buy a large list 0f leads to call?  The answer is simple…. and it lies in some common sense rules:

Let’s say I’m your good friend, and I give you a call offering a business opportunity that I want to share with you.  You are more likely to take me serious and BELIEVE what I say, then if I were just some random person calling you and you had never heard of me or met me in your life.

The same thing goes for generating leads vs. buying leads.  Now I’m not saying make a list of all of your good friends and family members and blow up their phone, but when you generate your own MLM lead list online, often times your prospect call YOU as if you are a good friend because of the value you have offered.  If they don’t call you…… and you pick up the phone and call them, more times than not, they remember your name from your website or content, and they are much more receptive to the information you are sharing.

Another great reason to generate your own leads is that your prospects will know who you are ahead of time.  If you blast out an email to a list that has never heard of you before, I don’t care if it’s a list of 10,000 people, your response will be a lot less because of the fact that they DO NOT KNOW YOU and won’t recognize you or your opportunity as something that they trust. If you blast out an email to a list that you generated on your own, your email is MUCH MORE LIKELY to get opened and responded to because that person actually showed interest in who you are and what you’re involved in, by opting in.  Does that make sense?

For example: When I first came online I blasted out an email to a list that I bought of 5,000 email addresses.  Can you guess how many replies or signups I got?  You’re right…..a big fat ZERO.  On the other hand, I recently broadcasted out an email to an old list of 100 people that had opted into my website.  Keep in mind that a portion of these people were folks who had contacted me first, but just never joined me in my business.  Well I got two signups into my Empower Network System….from 1 email….ONLY 100 people.

My main point is that when you generate your own leads based on upfront VALUE (and you can do that through blogging), people remember who you are….even if they hadn’t heard from you in a while.   That goes to show that my personally generated list(even though it was 6-8 months old) was much more valuable than ANY list that I could ever buy.

The difference is that I am attracting these folks to me, and I can be sure that if they’ve opted into my webpage, they are a better prospect for my business because I already know they have a genuine interest in myself and my offer.

So when it comes to buying leads vs. generating your own,  I would always encourage you as a network marketer/MLM’er, to LEARN the skill set of creating your own blog, or at least have a blog setup for you for $25, and just write a blog post on a daily basis.  You will begin to generate leads who call you and you will begin to talk to people who are TRULY interested in what you are offering………as opposed to cold calling prospects that you paid for, who might not want you calling them at all.
